Q: Am I renting a full cottage or individual units?
A: Creeper's End consists of two (2) cottages with a total of five (5) rental rooms available. Cottage A (121 Railroad St.) contains two (2) rooms and Cottage B (123 Railroad St.) contains three (3) rooms. Each room is rented individually or you may rent the entire house. Refer to our cottages for floor plans and amenities. Nightly rates $125 - $175. 

Q: Can I rent the entire cottage?
A: Renting a full cottage is an option please contact us, (276) 525-2031, for details. 

Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: We accept cash or checks and most credit cards. 

Q: Is it necessary to leave a tip in room when checking out?
A: Tipping is appreciated but not expected. 

Q: What are the business hours? I have a question.
A: There is not a physical office at the cottages however we are available via phone, email or through our contact from. To contact us by phone, please call during our usual business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. After hours, you are welcome to leave a message and we will return it as soon as possible. You can also email us at, or fill out the contact us form under the "Contact" tab and we will let you know if the dates requested are available.

Q: What time is check-in and check-out?
A: Check in is after 2:00 pm; check out is 10:00* am.
* Please call for any special requests for check-in or check-out.

Q: Are your cottages child-friendly?
A: Yes, although family friendly, our cottages are not child proof and cribs are not available.

Q: Can we bring our pets?
A: All cottage rentals are pet-free (local pet boarding is available). Refer to our local resources page for details.

Q: Are all the rental units smoke-free?
A: Yes, smoking is not allowed in the rental units.

Q: We like to walk, what is walking distance to the cottages?
A: Within walking distance of Creeper's End Lodging is the Creeper Trail, Virginia Creeper Trail Bike Rental Shop, Barter Theater, the Spa at the Martha Washington Hotel, Historic Abingdon and much more. Refer to area attractions for additional venues. 

Q: What's there to do and see in Historic Abingdon?
A: The downtown district offers amazing restaurants, and delightful shops, museums, art galleries, crafts shops, antiques shops, and music stores.

Q: Virginia is known for their vineyards, is there a winery nearby? 
A: Yes, the Abingdon Vineyard & Winery is nearby and be sure to also visit the local brewery, Wolf Hills Brewing.

Q: How long should I stay to see all of what Abingdon has to offer?
A: A three day weekend would be ideal, but you still won't see it all. You should allocate one full day for the Creeper Trail.

Q: We are interested in attending the Carter Family Memorial Music Center, how far is it from the Cottages?
A: The Carter Family Fold is approximately 40 miles away, and is about a 48 minute drive.

Q: Do you offer free high speed Internet in each rental unit?
A: Yes, free wireless Internet is available. Each unit is also equipped with large screen TVs, kitchenettes and private baths.
